Overhead light falls vertically onto the face and creates hard shadows in the eye sockets and under the nose. The result is an aged, poorly defined face \u2014 the exact opposite of what you want. Correct mirror lighting must come from the sides or from the perimeter of the mirror itself, at face height, to wrap the face in even, shadow-free light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What to look for in bathroom mirror lighting<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Adequate IP rating:<\/strong> in the washbasin area, a luminaire with protection against moisture is required.
