Las Glorias Shopping Mall in Barcelona ownership ordered the renovation of the Mall entryways to Javier Mariscal. He contacted the Lighting Designer Birgit Walter to design the lighting system for a large pergola in the access stairs. The design called for a “wave” effect to welcome the customers while incorporating the luminaires into the H-shaped column profiles. This required an outright custom job. Birgit Walter challenged INSOLIT to create a product that could fit these needs. INSOLIT designed and manufactured a linear luminaire that fitted the size of the columns. Each luminaire has a cluster of LED-PIXELS individually controlled by DMX to achieve the desired effect.
