In the grand main entrance of the Westfield Glòries shopping center, natural light and artificial illumination interplay beneath a sweeping glass skylight. To dress this expansive spatial atrium and create a striking visual light sculpture without obstructing sunlight, Insolit engineered a bespoke floating arrangement based on its iconic TR collection.
The installation thoughtfully merges direct-emission pendant rings with custom side-emitting variations, establishing a dynamic composition of light and depth at varying heights. To match the scale of the architectural void, Insolit manufactured large-format fixtures in three distinct diameters: 130 cm, 160 cm, and 260 cm.
Each grand-scale ring was crafted from extruded aluminum profiles—precisely curved, seamlessly welded, and fully assembled as a unified single piece. The visual lightness of the ultra-slim profiles allows daylight to filter effortlessly through the skylight during the day, while transforming the atrium into an atmospheric, contemporary landmark as dusk falls.
