Designer ceiling lights

Insolit's designer ceiling lamps comprise a collection of pieces manufactured in Barcelona that are distinguished by their architectural character, technical precision, and versatility, designed to adapt to the uniqueness of each project. Whether you are looking for minimalist spotlights like the Stick family to illuminate in a discreet and functional way, or surface luminaires with presence like the TR Ceiling, our collection offers high-level aesthetic and technical solutions.

Types of ceiling lamps: ceiling lights and spotlights

Ceiling luminaires with diffuse or ambient light, such as the TR Ceiling Down or TR Ceiling Up models, manage to illuminate an entire room completely and homogeneously, providing visual comfort without taking up walkable space. For this reason, these luminaires are very suitable for residential or contract spaces where warmth and circular design are sought.

On the other hand, spotlights and projectors are Insolit's specialty. Models such as the Focus Line (in its Track, Double, or Micro versions) offer discreet and adjustable lighting, ideal for corridors, galleries, or for highlighting specific elements. They are the perfect solution if we need light directed at a work surface or to highlight architectural details.

Thanks to compact designs like the Stick Hole or the Focus Line Track LED, lamps with great lighting effect and contained dimensions are achieved, perfect for environments with reduced height where it is not possible to install hanging lamps.

Designer ceiling lamps for terraces and gardens

Insolit's ceiling solutions stand out for their versatility. The collection includes options suitable for wet areas or covered outdoor spaces, such as the Focus Line IP 65 or the IP 44 version, guaranteeing design continuity from the interior to the exterior. In addition, technical innovation allows for flexible installations through systems like the Focus Line Magnet or track adaptations with the Stick Track.

How to combine the ceiling lamp with other lamps

Ceiling lamps, whether circular luminaires like the TR or linear projectors like the Stick Ceiling, are excellent for creating the lighting base of a room. Precisely because of their essential design, they can be combined with other types of light: if we use a Focus Line Track system for the general lighting of a living room, we can complement it with accent light in lower areas to create more intimate atmospheres.

The Insolit designer ceiling lamp collection

The Insolit ceiling lamp collection brings together engineering and design to offer you the best lighting solution. Most of our luminaires feature state-of-the-art LED technology and dimming options (DALI, 1-10V, Casambi), allowing you to adapt the intensity to every moment.

Discover the precision of the Focus Line Clamp for a versatile installation without construction work, or the minimalist elegance of the Stick for a touch of linear and modern design. If you are looking for a piece that defines the space with its geometry, the TR Ceiling is the ideal solution for your lighting to become an integral part of the architecture of your environments.

Designer living room ceiling lights

The living room is the space where interior architecture comes to life, requiring lighting that combines flexibility and aesthetics. Insolit’s designer living room ceiling lights are conceived to create welcoming atmospheres without compromising technical precision. Far from being mere accessories, our luminaires integrate into the ceiling to zone spaces, highlight furniture, or create comfortable general lighting.

Focus Line Magnet

Adaptability is fundamental in a modern living room. The Focus Line Magnet system represents maximum versatility in ceiling lighting. Thanks to its magnetic fixation system, it allows moving and reorienting light points along the track without the need for tools.

It is the ideal solution for changing spaces: it allows highlighting an artwork today or illuminating a side table tomorrow, always maintaining a clean and architectural aesthetic with its minimalist finish.

Stick

For those seeking absolute discretion without sacrificing lighting quality, the Stick model is the reference. This ceiling lamp is defined by its essential tubular design and its ability to integrate into the living room architecture almost disappearing.

Whether installed individually to create punctual light accents or in rhythmic compositions, the Stick offers precise and elegant focal light, ideal for avoiding glare and adding visual sophistication to the center of the home.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Installation height is crucial to ensure visual comfort and the functionality of the space. At Insolit, we recommend following these architectural guidelines according to the type of luminaire and its location:

  • Over dining tables or kitchen islands: For suspension lamps like the TR Line or the Focus Line Pendant, the ideal distance is 70 to 80 cm between the table surface and the bottom of the luminaire. This creates an intimate atmosphere without obstructing the view between diners.

  • In passageways and living rooms (General Light): If we install surface ceiling lights like the TR Ceiling or projectors like the Stick Ceiling, we must respect a clearance height of at least 210 cm from the floor. On standard ceilings (250 cm), surface-mounted ceiling lamps are the most suitable technical option to avoid overcrowding the space.

  • Distance between spotlights (Downlights/Projectors): To achieve uniform lighting with models like the Stick Hole or the Focus Line, the general rule is to space the light points at a distance equivalent to half the ceiling height. For example, on a 2.5m ceiling, the spotlights should be about 1.25m apart, although this will vary according to the beam opening angle (beam angle) to avoid shadow zones.

The secret of a good lighting project lies in lighting hierarchy. Not all lamps should compete for attention; some should be protagonists and others functional.

  1. Create layers of light: Combine soft general lighting (like a TR Ceiling Up that washes the ceiling) with accent lighting (like a Focus Line Track to highlight artwork or shelves). This adds depth and drama to the space.

  2. Consistency in color temperature: For the mix to work, it is fundamental that all light sources share the same color temperature. In residential and hospitality spaces, we recommend standardizing to 2700K (warm and welcoming light) or 3000K (warm white light, more technical). Mixing cool and warm temperatures breaks the design harmony.

  3. Same finishes, different shapes: An elegant way to unify the space is to keep the same finish (for example, matte black or textured white) in all luminaires, even if their shapes are different (a linear system combined with cylindrical spotlights).

  4. Dimming systems: Using systems like DALI or Casambi allows creating “scenes”. Thus, lamps not only combine physically but interact with each other: by dimming the general light, the accent light takes center stage.

Although both are installed at the top of the room, their architectural and spatial function is different:

  • Ceiling lamp (Flush mount or surface): It is installed directly attached to the ceiling, with no visible cables or suspension. Models like the Stick Ceiling or TR Ceiling Down are perfect examples.

    • Ideal use: They are the optimal solution for low ceilings (less than 2.50m) or for spaces where a clean and minimalist aesthetic is sought. Their goal is to integrate into the architecture, providing general light without taking up visual volume in the room.

  • Pendant lamp (Suspension): It hangs from the ceiling via a cable, wire, or rod, lowering the light point towards the activity zone.

    • Ideal use: They are designed for high ceilings or to illuminate specific surfaces (tables, bars, bedside tables). They have a strong decorative character and act as a focal point of the interior design. A composition with Focus Line Pendant or a suspended TR not only illuminates but “furnishes” the overhead space of the room.
